Guest Blogger at Pampering Beki : Fingerprint Friday

Welcome! I am today's guest blogger at Pampering Beki!

Beki is such a dedicated blogger and didn't want to miss Fingerprint Friday even though she & her family are on vacation. Her blog is one of my daily stops so I offered to help out with today's Fingerprint Friday post. The post is on Beki's blog, but I wanted to share it here for my readers as well. You can participate in Fingerprint Friday too. Just blog about your interpretation of God's fingerprints on your life or in your world. Then head over to Beki's to sign the Mr. Linky and be sure to visit the other great Fingerprint Friday posts!

Water

H2O

It's one of the most simple, yet complex things in this world. Most of the planet is covered by it. Our bodies are mostly composed of it.

We drink it, we bathe in it, we cook with it.

It comes in bottles. It falls from the sky.

Water. Simple. Complex. A basic necessity, like so many others, provided by our Heavenly Father.

I love this simplicity of this picture from the beach. The gentleness of the waves, the color of the sand, the sun.

What a blessing and a reminder that God provides our every need.

Father's Day Fingerprint Friday

What a handsome man and what a cute little baby.

That's me with my Daddy; just a few years ago. :-) He was so handsome and so proud of his little girl. He was a provider & protector; just like our Heavenly Father. Most people say that I look like my Daddy. I guess you could say he left his fingerprints on me; just as God's fingerprints are on us all.

This picture reminds me of how great a Father's love is for his children. Father's Day is Sunday. My Daddy is looking down at me, but I can still feel his love just as I feel the Father's love.

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
Youre a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?

1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints then go to Pampering Beki's blog to sign the Mr. Linky & find other's who participate.

A Nesting Place

As you may have gathered by previous posts, we have a pool; which in turn means we have a little pool house. It's nothing fancy; nothing more a storage place for floats, chairs, etc. We opened the pool a few weeks ago and cleaned out the pool house for the season. At that time, we found a baby bird and a little nest. The bird was literally at the point of flying the nest so we did away with that nest. We thought the birds were gone for the season.

No so! We were getting some floats {LOVE my Spring Float} out the other day and discovered THIS nest! It had been abandoned, but I was amazed at the construction of pine straw and moss. Birds are truly amazing. This nest was not there a couple of weeks ago. It's a simple little thing, but oh so incredible. This would have been a good picture for Pampering Beki's Fingerprint Friday! :-).

Thank you, Beki!

Many of you are familiar with Beki of Pampering Beki! She's a talented designer, {I *heart* my Beki earrings} fantastic blogger {one of my daily reads} and an all around nice person {she has 3 kids, 1 husband, flips houses and other stuff like that}

She has been kind enough to bestow this Kreativ Blogger award to me. Thank You, Beki!

Now to pass this along to another deserving blogger . . . . . . . .

Sydnei of SimplySentimental! She has a fantastic blog of her own featuring awesome Etsy sellers, but also co-authors The Downtown Boutique blog. She is one talented, busy lady and well-deserving of the Kreativ Blogger Award! Congratulations, Sydnei!

See & Be Seen : Blog Ads

Remember this post from May? It's about ad space on the the Sew Gracious blog. The amount of daily traffic has just about doubled since the original post so I decided it was time to mention ad space again. If you had been advertising during my giveaway; just imagine how many people would have seen your ad. Over 300 people left a comment. That's probably about half of the number who visited and didn't leave a comment. Think of the exposure you could have gotten! :-)
Well, it's not too late to get in on the excitment! A limited number of blog ads are still available. There's no long term commitment; just renew month-to-month. Skip a month or two if you need to, then pick up again later. I'm easy to get along with! ;-)
The monthly fee is very affordable and comparable to many Project Wonderful ads. You may link to your blog, your Etsy shop, your webspace . . . it's your choice. Remember, I'm easy to get along with!
Some pretty savvy business women are already here!! Pampering Beki has a wonderful Etsy Shop & Blog! Beki is a talented designer & a well-known blogger too! My friend Sally of the Polka Dot Mom blog also has a great website with the cutest things for your girly-girl.
You may also notice an ad for Fabric Gracious. That's my Etsy destash shop! ;-)

So will my ad be at the bottom of the list? No, I rotate the blog ads every day or two. That way, everyone gets a shot at the top spot. If you are the last person to sign up, your ad won't always be at the bottom. Clear as mud? ;-)
How do people find this blog? I promote this blog on Etsy, which brings in ALOT of traffic. I also have the blog address on my business cards (which go out with every order), in the signature of my emails, in the signature of off-Etsy forums that I visit & any other place I can put it with being an obnoxious spammer! ;-)
One of the best ways to promote a blog is to post on other blogs! You can see my blog roll down there in the left menu. Those are just a few of my favorite blogs! I visit & post on several blogs which creates a link right back here. People click & instantly see your ad!
Do you want to gain more exposure for your blog, Etsy shop or website for just a few cents per day? Got a non-animated 125 x 125 or 150 x 150 ad in .jpg , .gif or .png format?
You're good to go!
Email me to set up your ad space today!

A Good Mail Day

You know the excitement and anticipation you experience when you order something on line or from a catalog?
You can't wait until it comes in the mail.
You stalk the mailman! (well, hopefully not stalk. Maybe you just watch for the delivery each day)
Well, the excitement & anticipation is even better when you get something for FREE!!! ;-)

I was the lucky winner of this giveaway at the Woolgatherings blog. The prize was a pair of beautiful earrings, handmade by my friend Beki of Pampering Beki. HOW COOL IS THAT???

Besides being a talented designer & artist, Beki knows about presentation too. I've share pics below of my little treasure that came in the mail. The packaging is so pretty and makes you truly feel like you've received a gift. Now Beki didn't do this just because I won the earrings. I purchased a pair of earrings earlier this year & they were packaged just as beautifully. You may remember when I blogged about the pearl earrings.

Isn't it nice when those things come on a day when you need it the most? :-) Big, Big Thanks to Lis & to Beki! :-)

Girl with the Pearl Earring

Look what I got in the mail!!!

Don't you LOVE them! I purchased these lovelies from Pampering Beki. Beki is not only a talented jewelry & accessory designer, she also has a cool blog and...she's pretty sweet to boot! ;-)

I was so excited when my package arrived, I forgot to take pictures then, so here is what I snapped this morning. The box was tied up with a pretty little white tulle bow...it was a beautiful presentation. Then, when I opened the box, (ooooh . . . ahhhhh) I found these . . . . fresh water pearls & sterling silver!

It's nice to treat yourself every now and then. I recommend that you get something handmade from someone like Beki. She has more of these earring available here.

Treat yourself to a pair and you can be The Girl with the Pearl Earring... like me. :-)
