That was the case with this fun trick or treat baskets!

These were custom ordered for Halloween this year

by a customer who has shopped with me before.

{have I said how much I love my repeat customers?!}

This year's theme was Scooby Doo and Daphne.

Pretty cool, huh?

I hope the 2 little ones who receive these baskets

have as much fun filling them with candy as I did making them.

BUNCO Hostess with the Mostest!

I may be the only woman in America who isn't in a Bunco group.  It's OK.  I don't think I could commit the time right now, but someday!  As I hear friends talk about bunco, it sounds like a hoot & some really good girl time.  A few laughs, some good food, a little drink, friendly competition.   What's not to love about that!

I don't know if this is commonplace, but I know of one bunco group who will be receiving some nice little gifts from their hostess soon.  A customer who has shopped with me many times in the past recently contacted me about ordering some mini keyfobs.  I was thrilled to have her business again and just assumed she was gearing up for teacher appreciation at the end of the school year.  {It's a great time to do that.  Beat the rush and check it off your to-do list.  Just sayin'}

My customer asked for bright spring colors and allowed me to simply "create" for her.  Those kinds of orders are the most fun.  I get creative license and have a great time doing it.  You can see what I made for her in the picture above.  Ah, spring!

She let me know that she was giving the keyfobs as gifts the next time she was the bunco hostess.  Well, how cool is that?   I say she is definitely The Hostess with the Mostest!  I didn't know hostesses gave gifts to their guests each month.  Maybe it's just their group.  At any rate, don't you think that's a wonderful idea?  Me, too!

Clothespin Reindeer Ornament Tutorial

Some things just bear repeating. Last year I shared pictures of some of my favorite Christmas ornaments in my Ornament of the Day series. During the past year, this page has been one of the most viewed and most searched posts on my entire blog. People apparently are interested in making clothespin reindeer ornaments. As much as I'd love for you to read my entire blog, I want to making finding this little pearl easier for you.

In the spirit of the season, I give you . . . . . .the ever-popular

Clothespin Reindeer!
You will need:

• Old Fashioned Clothespins : I found them at The Dollar Tree
• Brown Pipe Cleaners : I think these are called Chenille Stems now. When I was a kid, they were pipe cleaners! ;-)
• Red Sequins
• Googly Eyes
• Craft Glue : We used Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue

No directions needed; just follow the picture! ;-)
I will share some tips that worked for us. We cut the pipe cleaners to make the antlers. You can devise your own method or try what worked for us. Cut a pipe cleaner in half to make the main part of the antlers. Then cut some of the pipe cleaners into thirds; wrapping one of those short pieces around each main antler.
Another tip . . . don't use too much glue or the eyes will slide off the side. You don't really want a weird looking reindeer. (Anyone remember Marty Feldman? LOL)
So, head to the craft store, pick up some supplies, make some hot chocolate and gather the family for an afternoon of memories.
