  • For outdoor gatherings, string across the fence or hang from the branches.  Just remember to bring your bunting inside after the party.
  • String along the mantel...pretty for holidays!

  • THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!
About Every Sew Gracious Fabric Bunting Banner:

Miss Minnie Halloween Trick or Treat Basket

I've mentioned how creative my customers can be.  Two of these baskets were recently requested by a customer whose daughters are dressing up as Minnie Mouse for Halloween this year.  She sent me a picture of their costumes and asked if I could design something to coordinate.  After working out color decisions together, this is the finished product.

LOVE THIS!

I hope the 2 little Minnies carrying these cute baskets have a great time on Halloween and fill up their baskets!  Big Thanks to their wonderful Mom for shopping with me!

Scooby Doo and Daphne Too

Sew Gracious customers are SO very creative!
It's always fun working on customer inspiration while being given creative license.
That was the case with this fun trick or treat baskets!

These were custom ordered for Halloween this year
by a customer who has shopped with me before.
{have I said how much I love my repeat customers?!}

This year's theme was Scooby Doo and Daphne.

Pretty cool, huh?

I hope the 2 little ones who receive these baskets
have as much fun filling them with candy as I did making them.

Time is running short for custom orders,
but some Halloween baskets are still available in the Etsy shop.

Happy October!

Happy October!

The SG studio has been filled to the brim with orders; especially for Halloween Baskets.  Some customers are very creative and have requested some really cool custom baskets!  I'll have to share pics when one particular order is done.   Another custom order is pretty large and is heading to The Big City where some famous folks might just run across them.  I'm VERY excited about that one too!  Martha, hope you shop there!

Funny how time slips by and things creep up on you.  Not to scare you; only to remind you that Halloween will be here in 30 short days.   You don't have to place a huge order or design your own. . . . just order from the shop.  :)  Easy Peasy, Pumpkin Squeezy!  As the bewitching hour approaches and sewing time for Trick or Treat Baskets wanes, the baskets will start disappearing from the shop.  Order soon at the Sew Gracious Etsy shop so you won't be disappointed.

Happy October, Friends!

Perfect Pumpkin Muffins : recipe

If you noticed the fine print at the bottom of yesterday's post, you know that it was Sew Daddy's birthday. He has always preferred pumpkin "something" rather than traditional birthday cake. Maybe it's because his b'day is on October, I don't know. Before meeting him, I was never a big pumpkin eater {and my name's not Peter}.

Early on in our marriage I found this recipe for Pumpkin Bread and it became his instant favorite.

This year I decide to make muffins rather than loaves. We just happened to have fun Halloween cupcake liners on hand! Yea! Wanna make your own pumpkin muffins this weekend? Here ya go!
Perfect Pumpkin Muffins
Dry ingredients:
1-1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 cup plain flour
1/4 cup oats
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 cup chopped pecans {optional}
Wet ingredients:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup canned pumpkin
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Makes 24 muffins.
Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add all wet ingredients and mix well by hand. Pour into 24 lined cupcake pans. Bake 20-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Don't overbake so the muffins will be moist.
Enjoy!

Old School Jack

If you've read my blog for the past few years, you know that our family always carves a pumpkin or 2. It's never anything elaborate like some you see on TV or in magazines, but it's good family time anyway. In the past, I've gotten free templates from the web or drawn out my own designs for carving.

This year, I decided to completely wing it. No pattern, no transfer; strictly free-hand. Old School Jack is the result. He turned out pretty cute, didn't he? Did you notice . . . I didn't even have to carve a nose thanks to the natural little "dimple" on our gourd this year.

Did Someone Say CLEARANCE SALE?

Who doesn't love a sale? Who couldn't use a sale? Who can help?
I've added lots of new items to the Clearance Section of the Etsy Shop. What a great time to get a jump start on Christmas & Holiday shopping! {hint, hint} Pick up a few things to have on hand for "just because" gifts. These are all first quality items. They just need to go to make room for new goodies that I'm working on for fall & Christmas.
Another on-going special is the Buy 3 : Shipping is Free offer. This applies only to regular priced items {sorry, standard shipping applies to clearance sale items}. If you live outside the US, you will receive 1/2 off standard shipping for your order. Simply checkout & remit as usual, then I will refund the postage to your Paypal account.
Good News! The Buy 3 : Shipping is Free offer DOES apply to Halloween Baskets.
