Pumpkin Carving Day

Yesterday was Pumpkin Carving Day at our house. Now while I am pretty handy with a sewing machine, I am not a master pumpkin carver. I've seen all the beautiful "decorator pumpkins" on TV and in magazines. How I WISH I could do that, but alas...pumpkins are one medium in which I stick with the basics. :-)

This year I did venture out a bit from the traditional triangle shaped eyes & nose with the snaggle tooth mouth. I opted for cresent moon eyes and a big wide grin. I like this year's pumpkin although the kitty we did a few years back is my all-time favorite. Now we have another kind of kitty pumpkin, which I always enjoy displaying. The arms, legs, face & ears are used each year to decorate a pumpkin....a la Mr. Potato Head. We have Mr. Kitty Pumpkin! Here is our entire Pumpkin Family for 2006.

It's not too early to shop for Christmas

Please don't throw rotten tomatoes or rancid fruit. :-) You know it's true....Christmas will be here before you are ready. I know Halloween is still 2 weeks away, but you know that Thanksgiving will be here when you turn around; then Christmas is on your doorstep.

In an effort to get a jump on the rush, I have listed more cool Christmas bags this week. Why wait til the last minute? Treat yourself now and enjoy the holidays without stress!

If you want to make a statement this holiday season, try this chic Retro Ornaments Boutique Bag
. This is not your Mother's Christmas Bag! :-) It's getting some buzz in the boutique world. Check out the feature this blog : THE MIND!

Did your tree have those funky colorful ornaments when you were little? I remember our tree being covered with beautiful Shiny Brite ornaments when I was little. I always thought they were SO pretty. My Mother gave me those ornaments, which are over 50 years old now. I enjoy bringing them out every Christmas.

If you love RETRO, you will love this darling bag. Cute kids in their red flannel pj's on Christmas Morning. Does it get any better than that? I actually made myself a bag from this fabric and it's one of my favorites.

So maybe you're not ready for Christmas. That's OK, too. This super cool Pink Chocolate Euro bag might be the perfect bag for you to carry through the cold weather months. This brand new bag is lined with a yummy pink chocolate polka dot fabric. I may just have to make one for myself; but YOU can win this one!

Check my eBay listings to see all of the latest offerings. :-)

Planting Pansies

As you know, I love to sew, but I also enjoy having a pretty lawn. The weather here has been perfect lately, so today I planted pansies. Our mailbox, window boxes and 2 large decorative pots are dressed for the cold weather and hold promise of the spring to come.
I enjoy the autumn season because it's almost like a second spring...time to plant again. Pansies are happy, hardy little flowers and were always a favorite of my Daddy's.

Have no fear! I will be sewing again this week. Look for new listings on
eBay! I am working on some great everyday bags and some brand new Christmas Bags too.

Welcome to SEW GRACIOUS !

Hello!

Welcome to my Blog! :-) I have recently discovered several blogs that I enjoy reading so I decided to create on for myself. I hope you will enjoy your visit!

My name is Pam and this blog is intended to spotlight SEW GRACIOUS Boutique Bags & Monogrammed Accessories. From time to time, I will also share thoughts on family, life & other important topics.

I design & create handmade tote/diaper bags & purses as well as monogrammed accessories (key fobs, checkbook covers & ponytail holders). I do have a website and hope you will visit www.sewgracious.com . I sell exclusively on eBay & you can go directly to my listings by clicking here .

This week I started listing Christmas bags on eBay. I know, it's not even Halloween yet, but it's never too early to start Christmas shopping! Wouldn't you rather sit back and enjoy the season come December. It's better than fighting the crowd at the mall! LOL

I have some customer favorites like the Leopard Santa bag . This is going to be one of THE MOST POPULAR bags for Christmas 2006. You might like this retro mod bag, which is a new for this year. The Retro Santa bag has gotten a lot of buzz since I listed it; being featured on the Boutique Chatter eBay group & Made To Match Universe blog.

Monogrammed Accessories are sure to be a favorite gift for Christmas 2006. What a great, PERSONALIZED item for those $10-15 gifts you need! You know you have lots of names on your gift list. You can't spend a fortune, but want to give something that is special. You always need a small gift for Co-Workers, Best Girlfriends, Babysitters, Team Mom, Teachers, ...the list goes on & on. Why not check some of those names off your list early? Give a custom monogrammed keychain or checkbook cover! They will love you for it and you will spend around $10! If you have little girls or big girls on your list, and they love ponytails, give them a monogrammed ponytail holder! I've also sold these to ladies who wear Toe Goez flipflops & for little girls tap shoes. They are the perfect way to personalized fancy footwear.

As you can tell, I love what I do! I love to sew & be creative. Please visit often to learn more about me, my eBay, my family, my passions, & more
