If you haven't; RUN-DON'T WALK, to the nearest market and pick up some of these delicious little winter jewels. Even if you don't care for oranges, these little cuties will win over your tastebuds. They are small, seedless, easily peelable and SWEET! The season is short, usually from October or November until February.
Clementines are also great for the health conscience because they are a good source of vitamin C, potassium, thiamin, niacin & fiber. With practically no fat and with only 35 calories; they are a great snack and easy on the waistline.
So, you may just want to by-pass the traditional navel orange this holiday season. Treat yourself to a Clementine!
